a project about drug users and public space
where we investigate how people with different needs can coexist in Oslo’s many urban spaces. The project is self-initiated in collaboration with Growlab Oslo.
In theory, we all have the same opportunities to use the public space, but in practice it is not the same. We are investigating solutions for how Oslo can become a city that recognise all the different people's needs. It's not just about planning for the society we'd like, but also for what's there today.
Can Oslo be an inclusive city for everyone?
The project focuses specifically on involving drug users. Every day, drug users are chased, discriminated and not tolerated in the city's public space. Drug users use urban spaces more than most of us others - and many are forced to stay outside at all times of the day.
